4th Body Cam Conference in Frankfurt am Main

Review: 4th Body Cam Conference by NetCo – diverse, practical & dialogue-oriented On 21 May 2025, it was that time again: the 4th Body Cam Conference by NetCo brought together around 70 experts from security authorities, public order offices and representatives of the rail and transport industry in Frankfurt am Main. This year’s focus was on practical presentations, psychological perspectives on de-escalation with body cameras and municipal exchange. ## Constructive body camera expert exchange on an equal footing The conference has now established itself as a permanent platform for the exchange of experiences – especially between public order offices, security companies and industry representatives from the transport sector. Participants took the opportunity to engage in intensive discussions about specific deployment scenarios, challenges and best practices in body camera use, and to clarify open questions – providing valuable input for all sides. The public sector supplier ETZEL was also represented with its own exhibition stand and welcomed the diverse networking opportunities to gain an even better understanding of customer needs.

The conference programme offered a balanced mix of theory, practice and interactive exchange: * Andreas Bach from the City of Cologne gave insights into the organisational and technical challenges of introducing body cams in the municipal public order service in his opening presentation – including data protection, internal acceptance and practical implementation in Cologne city centre.  * Dipl.-Psych. Dipl. oec. Udo Kluttig (LOGO Bochum) presented the psychological success factors for a successful body camera introduction. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of transparent communication, practical training and the active involvement of employees for long-term effectiveness.  * Oliver Pohl, trainer, author and lecturer, led a two-part operational training session focusing on de-escalation, self-protection and communication. Typical operational situations were played out in an interplay of theory and realistic practice, with a special focus on the targeted use of body cameras as a de-escalation tool. ## Positive response to body camera conference 4th Body Camera Conference in Frankfurt/Main The positive feedback from participants showed that the format continues to be well received. The specialist presentations, lively discussions and intensive training sessions were found to be particularly valuable. Our body cam division manager, Anna Lena Nolte, has also noticed the strong local networking that results from the body cam conference in her everyday working life. The conference thus not only facilitates knowledge transfer, but also creates lasting contacts that remain effective beyond the event itself.   ## Outlook The fifth edition of the Body Cam Conference is already in the planning stages. The goal remains to network municipal emergency services even more closely, to provide new impetus for practical application and to work together on a safe, transparent body cam deployment culture. 👉 Information on the upcoming Body Cam Conference 2026 will be available here in the coming months: 4.
